Huntron Tracker 1000 Operation

The Huntron Tracker 2000, is a versatile troubleshooting tool having the following' features: . Multiple test signal frequencies (50/60 Hz, 400 Hz, 2000 Hz). • Four impedance ranges (low, medium. 1, medium 2, high). • Automatic range scanning. • Range control: High. Lockout. • Rate of channel alternation and/or range scanning is adjustable. • Dual polarity pulse Generator for dynamic testing of three terminal devices. . LED indicators for all functions. . Dual channel capability for easy comparison. • Large CRT display yith easy to operate controls. The Tracker 2000 is a general purpose troubleshooting test instrument. It qualitatively evaluates digital, analog, and hybrid semiconductor devices, as well as capacitive and inductive devices, in or out of circuit, in a power off state. The Tracker 2000 operates by providing an ac stimulus to the component or circuit under test and displaying the resultant current and voltage levels and their phase relationship. The Tracker 2000 display indicates any component leakage, shorts, opens, noise, plus any combination of these problems caused by physical flaws. Table 1-1 lists the specifications of the Tracker 2000» Included with each Tracker 2000 is a set of Huntron Microprobe test leads. These test leads plug into the front panel test jacks of the Tracker 2000 and have special tips that allow contact with very small component terminals and printed circuit board traces without the danger of touching adjacent component leads and terminals. Also included with the Tracker 2000 are two blue microclips, a power /clock cable, and a special common test lead that allows the connection of Tracker 2000 common to two components. This test lead is used in the alternate mode of operation,

This manual is provided for the operator of the Huntron Tracker. The information contained within this manual familiarizes the reader first with the tracker and its. Tracker 2800; Includes, CD manual, power cord, test lead, MP20 probe set, mini hook test lead. The Huntron Tracker 2700S is an ideal addition to the service engineer’s bench. Using a power-off test method known as Tracker Signature Analysis, it eliminates the risk of further circuit damage, which often occurs when power is applied. The Tracker 2700S also incorporates Huntron’s SigAssist™ feature which displays. Old Huntron Products FAQs - The old FAQ archive covering obsolete Huntron products For those considering buying used Huntron Tracker or Prober products Please contact Huntron Technical Support or view the Obsolete Products page before purchasing used equipment from surplus test equipment suppliers or auction sites such as EBay. Huntron Tracker power-off circuit board test uses analog signature analysis to detect and isolate component faults on boards beyond power-on functional testing. By comparing Tracker signatures from a working circuit board to the signatures of a non-working board, you can troubleshoot down to the component level.
